Retention of our existing people through encouragement and motivation is also vital as well as succession planning and planning for the expansion of the business in future years which will increase the demands on our volunteers and staff. The successful candidate will also be required to advise the Board on matters of Employment Law and best practice.
The successful candidate will need to be a 'people' person, with excellent communication skills and proven abilities in exercising diplomacy and tact in challenging situations. A career in the HR sector would be an advantage as would experience in working in a predominantly volunteer organisation.
