Why Become a Member?

The Railway has around 900 Members / Supporters and by joining today via an online payment your subscription helps to keep the Railway looking forward to a vibrant and confident future. As a Member you gain certain privileges (see below) and also have the opportunity to become a working Volunteer - further details will be sent to you when you join.

We need lots of different people to help perform a big variety of tasks and these include booking clerks, cafe and shop staff, guards, firemen, steam and diesel drivers, track workers, carpenters, electricians, builders, IT experts, on-train stewards, administration roles and lots more besides! Full details will be sent to you when you join (and some are available on this website).

If you have a skill already we can probably make use of that, or come along and learn something different. We have volunteers from 14 - 94 and volunteering on the Railway enables individuals to come together to learn new skills and make new friends.

As we run services from Chinnor to Princes Risborough and look into the possibilities of going to Aston Rowant, then more volunteers of every description are always going to be needed...
