Trains will also be running during the day with steam locomotive No. 6412 and because we aim to run over the Network Rail line and reach our future station site at Princes Risborough (you cannot join or alight there yet!) we will be 'topping and tailing' the steam locomotive with the diesel locomotive 'Indomitable'.
What's more two children can travel for just £1 EACH when accompanied by another fare-paying Adult or Senior ticket holder.
It could be a good time to visit anyway, as there are plenty of seats available to spread out and enjoy the journey. All the while your steam locomotive is lazily billowing out steam past your window and the vintage diesel is growling its way along the line on the 50 minute round trip. You might spot some of our local wildlife such as deer, and it is rather rare not to see the Red Kites whirling overhead.
Our volunteers will be making their way through the train with an at-seat service of tea, coffee and light refreshments. Why not make several trips along the line - your travel tickets are valid all day long.
Trains depart Chinnor station at 11.00 (steam and vintage diesel), 12.15 (steam and vintage diesel), 13.30 (steam and vintage diesel), 15.00 (steam and vintage diesel) and 16.30 (steam and vintage diesel).
N.B. When you make up a party of 8 or more people and book in advance we are delighted to offer you further reduced price group travel rates.
