Sunday for Steam & Vintage Diesel

See the foothills of the Chilterns in their early summer lush and you might spot some of our local wildlife too - it is rather rare not to see the Red Kites whirling overhead.
All the while your steam locomotive is lazily billowing out steam past your window or the vintage diesel is growling its way along the line on the gentle 50-minute round trip from Chinnor to Thame Junction and return. Our volunteers will be making their way through the train with an at-seat service of tea, coffee and light refreshments.
Also, why not make several trips along the line - your travel tickets are valid all day long, of course!
DEPARTURE TIMES:
Trains will depart Chinnor station at 11.00 (steam only), 12.15 (vintage diesel only), 13.30 (steam only), 15.00 (steam only) and 16.30 (steam only). Each round trip is EITHER steam OR vintage diesel hauled to and from Thame Junction ONLY - whilst our volunteers are busily constructing both a platform and run-around loop at Princes Risborough, and the return journey takes approximately 50 minutes in duration.
