All the while your steam locomotive is lazily billowing steam past your window and the vintage diesel is growling its way along the line on the gentle 50-minute round trip. With lovely views gradually opening out to Whiteleaf Cross in the distance, plus the Red Kites often whirling overhead, it is surely going to be the perfect Mothering Sunday treat.
In addition our delicious cream teas are served in the Afternoon Tea Cars on the 13.30, 15.00 and 16.30 departures from Chinnor.
All Cream Teas are served on our GWR Hotels Dept crockery. Adults enjoy two locally procured and freshly baked scones, deliciously thick Rodda's clotted cream, plus strawberry jam and butter, together with your choice of tea, coffee, or soft drink. Please note Child (1-4 yrs) prices include one scone only.
Trains depart Chinnor station at 11.00, 12.15, 13.30 (Afternoon Tea Car), 15.00 (Afternoon Tea Car) and 16.30 (Afternoon Tea Car). Each round trip is both steam and vintage diesel hauled ('top and tailed' so that your train can reach into our long siding at Princes Risborough) and the return journey takes approximately 50 minutes in duration.
