Bachmann for Modellers

The railway is delighted to have been appointed authorised retailer for all Bachmann Group products.

As retailers for Bachmann we can supply all products from within their portfolio. The Group consists of 00 gauge Branchline products which are their biggest sellers in the UK, as well as N gauge Graham Farish, Scenecraft buildings and accessories, Dynamis Ultima DCC systems, Bachmann US N, HO, On30 and large scale, Liliput Euro N, HO, HOe and G Scale, Chinese HO Scale, Thomas and Friends™ Large Scale, Woodland Scenics scenic accessories, E-Z Command Dynamis DCC, 1st Gear die cast transport models, EFE (Exclusive First Editions) die cast bus and coach models and finally, W. Britain for metal toy soldiers and people of historical significance. Quite an array of modelling material there.

Our railway shop always has a small selection of Branchline 00 models available, usually associated with GWR or BR(WR) branch lines, which can be bought off the shelf.

We can supply anything ex-Bachmann that they currently hold in stock, and we are more than happy to take pre-release orders. For stock items we will require payment in full at time of ordering. For pre-release items a small deposit of approximately 10% will be requested once a release date and RRP is announced. If you later cancel the order we will repay the deposit if we are also able to cancel the order from Bachmann. The balance will be required prior to despatch. Before placing an order you may wish to see the current availability by visiting www.bachmann.co.uk but we will always discuss details with you and keep you informed of any update announced by Bachmann. Please be aware that all model railway suppliers are keen that modellers are aware of upcoming items, but this does mean they are often a long time coming.

All products are discounted from Bachmann’s full Recommended Retail Price by a minimum of 10%. The actual discount will be confirmed at ordering time but at all times we will attempt to provide you with a competitive price that is acceptable to you.

Please remember that all profits go straight to our railway to assist in providing this great spectacle for you and our other customers.

At present we do not have the capacity (or finances) to run a fully stocked shop and so we hope you can accept some minor restrictions. One placed on us by Bachmann is that certain low cost items are supplied by them in multiple quantities. For example small wagons are generally in 4’s, larger wagons and coaches are in 2’s. Scenic items vary. If you are not buying items we have in the shop, unless we believe we have a good chance of selling those that you don’t want, then unfortunately we may have to refuse your order unless you are willing to take the full number. The good news is that locomotives come in 1’s.

Your order will be sent to you using Royal Mail courier, ensuring that for our joint security the parcel is insured, and will require a signature on delivery. If possible you may wish to give us an alternative address to ensure first time delivery.

For small orders under £25 (incl. VAT), there will be a £2 postage charge. For orders between £25 and £100 the charge will be £4. For all orders over £100 the charge is £6. All these prices are subsidised by the railway and we may be willing to discuss a discount on these upon request when we know what is being purchased.

If you would like your order despatched abroad please let us know when enquiring, and we will see if this is possible and if so, advise the cost.

Payment can be accepted through the card facilities available on our site or by PayPal at bachmann@chinnorrailway.co.uk. Please ensure you quote the order reference we will give you so that your payment can be quickly identified.

As you will have read elsewhere, the railway is run entirely by volunteers and as such we don’t have an office environment and regret we cannot take telephone calls, but any questions and all orders should be sent by email to our Bachmann manager, also at bachmann@chinnorrailway.co.uk. This could mean there may be a short delay before dealing with your request. Please bear with us.

We are hopeful that there will soon be an e-shop facility on this site, which should change the buying process significantly.
