We have a vacancy for a volunteer Permanent Way Manager. Working closely with the Infrastructure Director, this role involves managing the established volunteer team, monitoring the state of the track and associated Permanent Way responsibilities and setting work priorities. A high degree of organisational skill, with excellent communication and an ability to work around problems is a must. Experience of maintaining standard gauge track, both bullhead and flatbottom rails on timber and concrete sleepers is a requirement. A working knowledge of bullhead S and C is also an advantage.

This voluntary position involves working one day a week.
