We have a volunteer vacancy for a Group Bookings Clerk.
This is an interesting and rewarding position for someone who enjoys contact with the public and the satisfaction of seeing a job through to a conclusion.
The person appointed will promote group bookings to new and existing customers, respond to incoming enquiries by phone (mobile supplied), email or letter, arrange dates with clients, invoice and collect payment and ensure the event runs smoothly. Availability to customers by phone will be Monday to Friday 10.00am. - 4.00p.m.
In addition, researching the web or group travel publications for new clients that will bring revenue to the Railway.
This would suit someone who has excellent communication skills, pays attention to detail and is prepared to devote a number of hours during the week, either working from home or elsewhere, to ensure that this important function is successful.
