We have a volunteer vacancy for a Group Travel Manager.
This is an interesting and rewarding position for someone who enjoys contact with the public and the satisfaction of seeing a job through to a conclusion. The person appointed will promote group bookings to new and existing customers, respond to incoming enquiries by phone, email or letter, arrange dates with clients, invoice and collect payment and ensure the event runs smoothly. Working closely with the Marketing department and attending relevant exhibitions to promote the Railway will also be part of this role.
This would suit someone who has excellent communication skills, pays attention to detail and is prepared to devote a number of hours during the week to ensure that this important function is successful. The current job holder is able to offer a long handover so full training will be provided.
