The crane has a lifting range of 4 ton at 30' and 17.5 ton at 10', overall length with 30' jib is 46' 6". The crane started life moving ferrous scrap around Panteg steel works. Under nationalisation the works were taken over by the British Steel Corporation. The crane was purchased for the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway in 1988, but remained stored at Pauls Malt Yard before moving to Chinnor on 23 July 1990. It was the first piece of rolling stock to arrive at Chinnor after the formation of the Association and is now owned by Don & Terry (who are volunteers).
