With an expected five or more locomotives operating and also the selected locos hauling a good couple of hundred ton special up our 1 in 68 inclines means that you’ll certainly get the full music of the selected machines. Our service will be very intensive to allow you to sample all of the fine locos on our scenic and nicely graded route.
We're already delighted to announce that Class 31 '31128' 'Charybdis', courtesy of Richard Goodyear, will be joining our Diesel Gala. 31128 will of course, line up with our very own Class 31 '97205' (31163) and resident 37227, plus our Gronk's 08825/08011/08629. Look out for details of other guest locomotives nearer the time and this advance notice is for now an opportunity to pop the NEW AMENDED DATES into your diary (subject of course to any Government restrictions that may be around at that distant time!).
We also hope to offer Cab rides on each service to enable you to really enjoy the atmosphere and get a driver's view of the line. Depending on crewing levels, there may be Brake van rides with our NSE Class 08 08825/97808 with our shark brake van between departures and arrivals at Princes Risborough.
We will aim to have barrels of real ale on offer with some local cider on tap too! Exact ales and ciders to be announced nearer the time.
