A unique opportunity to see, listen and learn something about the history of the line and the local area it traverses and also see some of our Chilterns area flora and fauna. The trip in our vintage diesel bubblecar includes an informative but light-hearted commentary on the journey leg from Princes Risborough to Chinnor - which is given by one of our railway volunteers as we gently wend our way along the foothills of the Chilterns.
In addition to an overview of our local history and the line and some of the people who worked on it; when we see something of interest, then we'll simply ask our driver to stop so we can take a better look: that's not something you can normally do! What are those birds? What's growing in that field? Was that really the site of a Roman Villa?
And all the while there are lovely views gradually opening out from Whiteleaf Cross and the Vale of Aylesbury in the distance - en route we can often see Red Kites and perhaps some local deer too. Our vintage railcar has a capacity of only 50 seats and so advance booking is strongly advised, as priority will be given to those who book ahead.
