MK1 SK Coach Fund

MK1 SK Coach Fund

The Association has been seeking to buy an additional Mark 1 coach for some time. This will give us the benefit of being able to withdraw existing coachs for overhaul in-house, whilst also saving the cost of paying a maintainer and the cost of transporting by road. In particular, it will enable our in-house volunteer restoration and renovation skills to be maintained and improved - plus there is an important opportunity for education and passing-on traditional crafts and skills to the next and future generations.

In November 2020 we were able to bid successfully for an SK (compartments like our BSKs, but for the whole coach length). This coach, while shabby with graffiti on the outside, is in reasonable condition structurally. The Board of Trustees, being mindful of the current lack of income as a result of the pandemic, could not sanction the purchase from existing funds. Therefore, we are seeking other funding.

May we ask for your donation and support please

We are asking for donations to our SK purchase & restoration fund (Members have made loans and we are half-way on donations to allow the purchase to go ahead as at 1 February 2021):

Alternatively, you can make a donation by cheque to the ‘SK Fund’ payable to C&PRRA and post to: The Chairman, CPRRA, Station Road, Chinnor OX39 4ER. We are experiencing some postal delays at present so it is quicker and more efficient if you are able to donate below online.

P.S. Any sum of monies is very welcome - but for those with generous wallets and purses you can select +£100 and add in any multiples, e.g. Quantity 2 will donate £200 etc.

Thank you for your support and it is greatly appreciated.

The vehicle arrived on-site at Chinnor on 2 February 2021:

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
