Buy FLEXIBLE Tickets for Historic Auto-trailer & Steam :

We are pleased to announce the Auto-trailer and steam will operate on Saturday 24 September

The Auto-trailer is synonymous with the Watlington-Chinnor-Princes Risborough services of yesteryear and a similar vehicle was used on our branchline trains for very many years until closure of BR passenger services in 1957.

From your Auto-trailer seat you can see the panorama of the Chiltern foothills unfold as the steam drifts gently past the windows - you might also spot some of our local wildlife too and it is rather rare not to see Red Kites whirling overhead! For more information on what you can see en-route please take a look at our Journey Guide from Chinnor to Princes Risborough.

Here's Clive Town's YouTube video of the Auto-trailer and steam in action in September 2021!

Our range of concessionary fares for children, seniors, local residents, Blue Lamp card holders etc., will continue to be available for travel in the Auto-trailer.

We respectfully request that all visitors enjoy food and drink either before or after their journey in our Station Café at Chinnor station - thank you for your help and understanding.

OTHER LOCAL THINGS TO SEE & DO:

Either before or after your train ride and when the weather is good - you could try a healthy but gentle Chinnor Circular Walk, or if you have small children it is just a short stroll from the station to the nearby Chinnor Children's Play Area. If you are looking for something more in the local area please see our What to see and do section for more information.

Please check back regularly or do follow us on our official Twitter or Facebook pages. Or why not sign up to our Newsletter to be one of the first to know about happenings at our Railway?

We really looking forward to welcoming you soon.
