Steam and Restaurant Midsomer Savoury Morning Tea:

Relive the nostalgia of heritage steam on our 11.00 departure from Chinnor and enjoy an Midsomer Savoury Morning Tea with a large homemade Cheese and Chive Scone, accompanying Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Branston Pickle and Black Grapes, all served on our GWR-monogram crockery with tea and coffee service.

Your experience begins with a warm welcome from our attentive volunteer stewards when you board your train, then sit back in your comfortable seat, relax and watch the steam lazily curl past your window as you enjoy your Midsomer Savoury Morning Tea, whilst the lovely views gradually open out to reveal the Vale of Aylesbury and Whiteleaf Cross in the distance. At Princes Risborough see the steam locomotive as she runs round the carriages - your journey from Chinnor takes slightly under 1-hour (56 minutes) for the return trip.

Combined Meals & Travel Tickets Price:

Please note: Table for 4-people is offered for those who prefer more 'together' seating - for those who desire more comfort / extra room, then we suggest you select two tables for 2-people and we will always book the two tables side by side (so that you are still together).

Also, your Travel Tickets are available in our unreserved seats on all other train services on the same day - offering several trips of the line afterwards, or even stay all-day if you wish!

There is free car parking and a souvenir shop at Chinnor station.

Booking information

In the event that our Steam locomotive is unavailable, for whatever reason, the train will be be hauled by one of our Classic Diesels and no refunds will be applicable. All services depart from Chinnor only.
