Relive the nostalgia of heritage steam and enjoy the elegance of dining on board with a leisurely 2-Courses made from locally-sourced fayre and served on our GWR-monogram crockery.
Your experience begins on boarding your train at Chinnor with a warm welcome from our attentive volunteer stewards who will serve you a complimentary alcoholic or non alcoholic drink - followed by a tasty Ploughman's Platter on the outward journey - then a traditional Apple Pie or Ice Cream dessert and tea or coffee service on the return trip.
Sit back in your comfortable seat, relax and watch the steam lazily curl past your window as you enjoy your dining experience and the lovely views gradually open out to reveal the Vale of Aylesbury and Whiteleaf Cross in the distance. At Princes Risborough see the steam locomotive as she runs round the carriages, whilst those travelling on the mainline can only gaze in envy at your elegant dining experience!
Our journey from Chinnor takes approximately 75-80 minutes for the return trip, and we will halt-a-while along the way whilst our experienced guide gives a short commentary on the landscape and even a smattering insight into our local history.
Your outward restaurant service includes:
On the return journey:
There is free car parking and a souvenir shop at Chinnor station.
