GWR Large Prairie steam locomotive No 4144 provided by Didcot Railway Centre will be hauling our steam trains on New Year's Day 01 January 2024.

• Fares shown below are for one round-trip starting out from Chinnor or Princes Risborough and include online issued out-and-back seat reservations - returning by the next train service shown on the timetable
• You can also buy tickets at stations on the day of travel and these offer flexibility for travel in our unreserved seats
• At Chinnor Station Café on 01 January 2024 a complimentary cup-of-tea or coffee and to celebrate Hogmanay a finger of shortbread and a tot of Whisky for each adult ticket holder!
• Take a stroll through the Light Walk at Chinnor station marquee and for younger children see also the Winter Wonderland Model Railway!

Adult and Senior online prices are generally £1 cheaper than buying at stations and include seat reservations starting out from Chinnor or Princes Risborough and return (note £2 booking fee per transaction applies) and they can be booked online until 18.00 on the day before travel. We also offer a range of further discounts to Adult Residents and National Railcard holders, all of which can be booked online or for unreserved seats on the day at station Ticket Offices.

Adult (16-59 yrs) £15 - online £14; Concession (Senior 60+ yrs or Adult National Railcard holder) £14 - online £13; Adult or Senior Resident (Postcodes OX39 or HP27) £11 - online £10; Accompanied Child 3-15 yrs (Maximum 2 Children per Adult or Senior ticket holder) Kids-for-a-Quid £1; Child 0-2 yrs Free (No ticket required).

Other Concessionary Cards - certain holders can obtain Adult reductions only when they present their card and purchase tickets at station ticket offices on the day of travel: RailRiders Card holder - usual price £15 now £11; TOC/Network Rail Privilege Card - usual price £15 now £4.00; HRA Privilege Card - usual price £15 now £4.00. 

On the day-of-travel: Residents please provide proof of local address, or Card holders bring your card along - thank you!

Single tickets (for travel in one direction) are only available on the day of travel at station ticket offices - please call 07979-055366 (10.00-16.00) for information.

Accessiblity we welcome all Visitors to the Railway, including those who are less able and any accompanying carer or assistance dog. Buy one Standard Adult ticket (£15) and one Carer or Companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visually impaired visitor, or another person whose disability necessitates a carer. Wheelchair spaces are limited to one per train and reservations must be obtained in advance - please call 07979-055366 (10.00-16.00) to book.

Well-behaved pet dogs are welcome and travel Free - but not on seats or in any dining areas - do bring a blanket or similar for them to sit on please.

Buggies and Strollers cannot be accommodated on the train. They may be left on the platform at our stations, or if arriving by car you may prefer to leave them in your vehicle.

The Station Café at Chinnor also serves additional teas and coffees, plus crisps, homemade cakes, biscuits, assorted drinks, juice cartons and bottled water. In addition, we have a selection of sandwiches and baps etc, all freshly made on the day.
